A Murder Of… Ravens?
I’ve always found Ravens to be a very interesting and beautiful bird! So it only makes sense that this would be one of the first felt bird soft sculptures that I would create.
I just love the ideas of creating these by the droves and bestowing each and every one with shiny trinkets for them to gift their recipients. A fantastic handmade gift idea for your macabre or raven loving friends, Edgar Allen Poe fans, or for Halloween!
I do hope you enjoy my felt bird pattern! I would love to see all of the amazing new friends you create!
Crafting Fun for All Ages:
Whether you’re crafting with kids or enjoying some solo creative time, this project is a delightful way to spend an afternoon. No sewing machine required! Basic hand-sewing skills are all you need.
Sewing skill level:
This is a beginner/intermediate hand sewing pattern. The pattern is perfect for beginner adult sewers or experienced children. I always recommend a parent nearby for any children learning with these projects. Small children should be supervised with sewing tools such as sharp needles, and small pieces such as doll eyes, buttons, and very small pieces of felt.
This is also a beginners’ level introduction to simple embroidery on small toys.
Sewing time:
As a beginner, 2-3 hours to hand sew a skunk. This is approximate, as the time it take to complete a project can vary depending on skill.
