This felt chicken sewing pattern is such a fun project for making adorable Waldorf style toys or even keep them as a decoration. Add a string and you’re got a fantastic felt ornament! The perfect handmade project for chicken lovers or gift to your favorite chicken loving person. You can even make them into several kinds of chicken breeds! Just switch up your felt colors or even add embroidered feather stripes and ruffles!
This pattern is meant to be hand sewn with felt or a similar fabric. These adorable chickens can be created with wire legs, or made to be sitting inside small nests with their tiny chicks.
Recommended Materials and Supplies List

- small sharp scissors
These chickens can be sewn with wire legs for pose-able fun. Or sew them without legs for cute bird nest sitting.

I always recommend a parent nearby for any children learning with these projects. Small children should be supervised with sewing tools such as sharp needles, and small pieces such as doll eyes, buttons, and very small pieces of felt.
This is also a beginners’ level introduction to simple embroidery on small toys.
Sewing time:
As a beginner, 2-3 hours to hand sew a skunk. This is approximate, as the time it take to complete a project can vary depending on skill.
